SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. is a U.S.-domiciled, Israel-headquartered provider of power optimizer, solar inverter and monitoring systems for photovoltaic arrays. These products aim to increase energy output through module-level Maximum Power Point Tracking. Earnings are due 16.02 so good moves could be made.
Overall the financials of Solaredge are good. comparing Q1, 2 & 3 however, the company's total revenue has fallen. Q3 revenue came in a $338m, Q2 $331m and Q1 was $431m. Even though revenue has dropped Solaredge has been able to maintain a good profit of $43.7m in the last quarter. Last quarter the balance sheet was strong. Cash on hand exploded from $546m in Q2 to $1.18bn in Q3. Total assets grew $650m in Q3 to $2.27bn with liabilities also growing from $681 to $1.2bn Net positive assets grew $105m to $1.032bn in Q3 (as opposed to Q2).
From a technical aspect, Solaredge is reasonably strong, holding a medium-term trendline. MACD is positive on the daily with RSI also reading 57.2. The stock is well supported below - Initial support sits at $321 followed by trendline & Bollinger lows support at $305/$300. Unless $300 level is broken upside could be very possible. Looking to the upside initial targets are $344 followed by $376 all-time-high. A further push could take this to $400 in the medium term.
Overall Solaredge is a good company with a solid balance sheet and income forecast. Q4 should do well and the company upside potential is there, with support at multiple levels below. The key level is $300.
