Alibaba today declared the formal launch of Alibaba Guaranteed, which would aid in streamlining international sourcing and give small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in the US and abroad access to a more adaptable and trustworthy supply chain.
Alibaba.com now has over 200,000 suppliers on its global platform and serves over 48 million small and medium-sized business buyers. Customers may source with more confidence thanks to Alibaba Guaranteed, which offers items at set rates that include shipping expenses, assures delivery on the anticipated date, and pledges to dispatch goods within 72 hours. Additionally, buyers may benefit from post-purchase services including free local returns for defects and prompt money refund for order difficulties.
Alibaba will deliver orders for products obtained through this new system, giving customers order security. The platform also manages after-sales services and financing, including escrow and payment conditions, giving both buyers more time to concentrate on their goods.
This product is made at a time when SMEs are searching online for solutions related to online sourcing more and more. Indeed, according to a recent Alibaba poll, in 2024, two-thirds (66%) of SMEs want to rely more heavily on online global sourcing. However, up to 22% of respondents ranked delivery time, logistics costs, and fears about not obtaining items as their top obstacles when it came to cross-border sourcing. These three issues emerged as the key reasons for engaging in cross-border sourcing. Alibaba Guaranteed was created to aid in resolving issues such as these.
In order to assist SMEs in growing and gaining more traction on the international e-commerce scene, Alibaba is committed to continuously innovating in the sourcing and supply chain domains. Alibaba Guaranteed with fulfilment by Alibaba is the most recent addition to the company's support network for enterprises both domestically and internationally.
