Amazon claims that the Q bot will boost productivity and assist organisations with tasks like summarising lengthy documents or group chats.
It was released a year after OpenAI's ChatGPT bot rocked the industry and caused internet companies to scramble to use it.
Additionally, Amazon promised to shield businesses from copyright violations brought on by using its bot.
It comes after prominent litigation against OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT, alleging copyright infringement during the system's training.
With Q, which will be progressively integrated into all of its primary business apps, Amazon hopes to attract more businesses to utilise its cloud computing services.
In addition, the bot can create charts, analyse data, respond to client inquiries, and assist companies with coding requirements.
With its significant investment in ChatGPT, Microsoft is seen to be dominating the field in the competition between IT heavyweights to advance in AI.
Anthropic is an AI company founded by former employees of OpenAI. In September, Amazon announced that it would invest "up to $4bn" in the company. It also owns Mechanical Turk, a crowdsourcing platform for AI model training.
