Apple wants to grow its profitable services division, so it may charge customers up to $20 for its powerful AI features.
Later this year, the tech behemoth intends to integrate Apple Intelligence, its upcoming AI system, into a few of its products.
This AI system was unveiled in June with the promise of improving Siri and adding functions like email and image production on autopilot. These features will be rolled out gradually, with access being denied initially to parts of Europe and China.
Analysts speculate that Apple may charge a subscription price for its higher-end apps.
It is expensive to invest in AI, and analysts at Counterpoint Research pointed out that Apple is probably going to charge its users for it.
Apple Music is one of the many Apple services available to customers who subscribe to Apple One for $19.95 a month. Analysts predicted that Apple may charge $10 to $20 for Apple Intelligence, possibly with the premium AI features included in the Apple One bundle.
Analysts claim that AI gives Apple a chance to strengthen its already solid client base. With time, Apple Intelligence will become more individualized by learning from a user's actions.
As experts put it, "The beauty of AI is that you get locked into the model itself because you can't bring your own model from Apple to Android," and as you use it more and more, it learns about you.
"That's where Apple monetization hits—you start using it more and more and you get used to it more."
