2,000 ambulance workers in the United Kingdom are set to go on strike again next month.

2,000 ambulance workers in the United Kingdom will go on strike again next month, according to their union, citing "strong indications" that many of its members are dissatisfied with the government's current salary offer.

Several regional ambulance and hospital organisations will go on strike on the 2nd of May, according to a statement from Unite.

"The union has received strong indications that many members are unhappy with the deal and is therefore preparing for further industrial action," the union stated.

"Unite has been forthright and honest in stating that it did not believe the pay offer was adequate for NHS employees."

In March, the government and several healthcare unions agreed on a 5% wage rise proposal, but workers had to vote on it. Unite has advised its members to vote no on the plan.

Nurses in England declined the same offer on Friday, following a recommendation from their own union to accept it. They also provide other strike dates.

Unite claimed 3,500 employees, including 2,000 ambulance personnel, will strike next month, which would also involve a walkout by the union's members at certain major London hospitals on May 1st.

The poll on the government's plan will close on April 28th.
