1st of January - Underwear for women is now subject to the same VAT as women's sanitary goods. That essentially means that instead of spending £12 on period pants, ladies will now save up to £2.

 

6th of January - The 12% national insurance contribution will fall by two percentage points to 10%. An individual earning the average wage in the UK, which is £35,000, will save £37.39 per month, or £450 annually.

 

6-22nd of February - Between the outlined dates, eight million households could be receiving their government-provided cost of living allowance of just less than £300.
