Markets look muted this morning as Bank earnings are in focus.

Friday’s trading session looks to be muted as investors continue to weigh UK data from yesterday. Overall this week has been a great week for most index funds and stocks as investors have been given reassurance of cooling inflation in the USA.

In the UK investors are still unsure about inflation as wage growth beat expectations, therefore suggesting income for individuals is growing to catch up to inflation. While this is good in theory it does make the BoE more likely to raise rates to further gain control of rising prices.

Data in Europe & the USA looks light this Friday with the Michigan consumer sentiment due at 2 pm UK time. However, some major US banks will be reporting their Q2 earnings report.
