Meta has launched a $7.99 monthly VR subscription service.

On Monday, Meta unveiled Meta Quest+, a virtual reality subscription service that would provide customers access to two fresh games each month.

The Quest 2, Quest Pro, and Future Quest 3 are all compatible with Meta Quest+, which is available for $7.99 a month. The subscription service is Meta's most recent attempt to establish recurring revenue from its Reality Labs division, which is creating technology for augmented reality and virtual reality.

In the first quarter of the business, Reality Labs lost $3.99 billion in operational income while bringing in $339 million. The price of Meta stock dropped 3.5% on Monday.

Every month on the first, new games will be released for Meta Quest+ subscribers. As long as the subscription is current, the games can be played.

The video games "Pixel Ripped 1995" and "Pistol Whip" will be sent to subscribers in July. Next, Mighty Coconut will release "Walkabout Mini Golf" for users, while Terrible Posture Games will release "Mothergunship: Forge" in August.

On Monday, Meta Quest+ went on sale at the Meta Quest Store.
