Musk intends to remove 500 additional workers after firing two senior executives

Two top Tesla executives were let go by Elon Musk because he was not happy with the company's declining sales and the slow pace of the layoffs that had come before, The Information reported on Tuesday.

Daniel Ho, who oversees the new cars programme, and Rebecca Tinucci, the senior director in charge of Tesla's Supercharger network, were let go.

In addition, Musk plans to fire Tinucci, Ho, and every person beneath them, which includes around 500 workers in the Supercharger group. The precise count of Ho's squad members remains undisclosed.

The story further mentioned the dissolution of Tesla's public policy division, which was formerly headed by Rohan Patel.

In the email to top management, Musk is believed to have stated, "Hopefully these actions are making it clear that we need to be absolutely hard core about headcount and cost reduction."

"While some on exec staff are taking this seriously, most are not yet doing so."
