According to Reuters on Monday, NVIDIA is creating an AI chip version of its flagship model for Chinese markets that complies with export regulations from the United States.
The most valuable chip company in the world will collaborate with Inspur, one of its largest Chinese distributors, on a chip that is reportedly dubbed the "B20," according to a Reuters story.
The present AI products from Nvidia are designed especially to comply with Chinese export regulations imposed by the United States. However, recent reports indicated that the country's products, such the H20, were finding low demand because to fierce competition from regional chipmakers, particularly Huawei.
The "Blackwell" chip family, which will go into production later in 2024, was introduced by the chipmaker in March. The range of chips was introduced at a time when interest in the rapidly expanding subject has increased over the last year. It is especially designed to fulfil the computing demands of huge language models.
A revenue windfall for Nvidia was also prompted by increased interest in AI development, which raised the company's valuation and placed it among the most valuable on Wall Street.
