Amazon said today that Prime Day 2024 was the company's largest Prime Day shopping event ever, setting records for sales and selling more goods in two days than in any prior Prime Day celebration. Around the world, Prime members saved billions on sales in every category during the 48-hour shopping extravaganza.
Millions more Prime members shopped across the two days than on Prime Day 2023 thanks to Amazon's extensive variety at some of the lowest prices of the year. In the three weeks preceding Prime Day, a record number of people joined Prime, with millions of new members worldwide, seizing the chance to save big.
Members could find more bargains on small business items than ever before, with offers from well-known companies like Sol de Janeiro, Apple, Dyson, and Ring among them. During the Prime Day event, more than 200 million goods were sold by independent sellers, the majority of which are small and medium-sized enterprises and contribute to Amazon's extensive variety.
Along with amazing savings on Amazon electronics, members also benefited from subscriptions to Audible, Amazon Music Unlimited, Kindle Unlimited, Whole Foods Market, and Amazon Fresh grocery delivery, as well as Grubhub+ meal delivery.
On Prime Day, millions of orders were delivered by Prime members in the US, resulting in an estimated 10 million fewer trips. Carbon emissions are reduced overall as a result of this consolidation.
Amazon's latest AI-driven conversational shopping assistant, Rufus, made it simple and quick for millions of customers to browse the company's extensive inventory. Additionally, throughout Prime Day, millions of shoppers visited Amazon Inspire.
Through the use of videos and photos from other customers, influencers, and businesses they love, users can easily find goods and purchase with ease using Amazon Inspire, an in-app shopping experience. To access Inspire, open the Amazon Shopping app and hit the Play icon located at the bottom.
