The low-cost airline Wizz Air has introduced an 'all you can fly' membership that costs 499 euros (£428; $549) a year and gives users unlimited travel.

Although various multi-flight packages have been available on airlines for some time, limitless bargains are a relatively new idea.

The program is comparable to those provided by Malaysia-based AirAsia and US-based Frontier Airlines.

In the UK, Wizz Air has come under fire for its delayed flights and poor customer service.

The annual pass's low price is valid until August 16; after that, it will increase to 599 euros.

Starting in September, users will be able to book an available flight up to three days before to departure and pay a flat charge of 9.99 euros to travel to locations in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

10,000 of the subscriptions, according to Wizz Air, are being sold and will be dispersed across the airports it serves.

Additionally, Wizz Air's website's terms and conditions statement cautions that membership holders cannot guarantee seat availability, as it depends on "several external and internal factors."

Wizz Air was rated the worst airline for flight delays in the United Kingdom in June for the third consecutive year.

The PA news agency conducted a study of official data and found that, on average, Wizz Air jet departures from UK airports experienced 31-minute delays last year.

The airline has also been ranked the lowest-performing airline in the UK by prominent consumer organisation Which?

This month, Wizz Air was fined 770,000 euros by Hungary's antitrust authorities for deceptive advertising that included pushing clients to buy more costly trip packages.

Additionally in August, Wizz Air revealed a 44% decline in operational profit for the first quarter and lowered its full-year profit projection.
